Truly, this frozen yogurt can be made from any fruits you love. The best and cheapest way to use this recipe is to use seasonal fruits to truly make it everything that makes your taste buds come alive! All we could think of this summer so far was cooling off from our 100F temperatures so we came up with this easy way to make a healthy frozen yogurt.
Ingredients:
3 large mangoes
2 nectarines
1/2 lemon
1 orange
1 cup greek yogurt (flavored or not; we used peach greek yogurt)
1 tsp vanilla
4 tbsp honey
Directions:
Peel mangoes and cut around seed to cut into large chunks, placing in high powered blender like Ninja, BlendTec or VitaMix. Cut up nectarines and place in blender. Peel lemon and orange, place in blender. Add vanilla, yogurt, honey. For a slushier yogurt, add 2 cup ice cubes. Blend all ingredients and place in freezer for 1 hour. Healthy quick treat; saving you a trip to the ice cream store AND the calories of actual ice cream! Coconut flakes for garnish are great!
