  • 8 ounces pasta (such as penne or rigatoni)
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (14.5 ounces) diced tomatoes
  • 1 can (15 ounces) tomato sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt adjust to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the Pasta: In a large pot, cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  3. Brown the Beef: In a skillet over medium heat, heat olive oil and add chopped onion and garlic, sautéing until softened. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon.
