Quick and Delicious Creamy Beef Pasta

This creamy pasta features tender ground beef sautéed with garlic and onions, combined with peas and tossed in a luscious cream sauce. The recipe takes about 30 minutes from start to finish and serves 4 people.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz pasta of your choice (like penne or fettuccine)
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook the Pasta: Boil a large pot of salted water and cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving 1/2 cup of pasta water.
  2. Brown the Beef: In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped onion and cook until translucent, about 3-4 minutes. Add ground beef, season with salt and pepper, and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula.
  3. Add Garlic and Peas: Stir in minced garlic and cook for an additional minute until fragrant. Add frozen peas and cook until heated through, about 2-3 minutes.
  4. Make the Sauce: Reduce heat to low and pour in the heavy cream, stirring to combine. Add grated Parmesan cheese and mix until the sauce is creamy. If the sauce is too thick, add reserved pasta water a little at a time until desired consistency is reached.
  5. Combine Pasta and Sauce: Add the cooked pasta to the skillet, tossing to coat the pasta in the creamy beef sauce. Heat everything through for a minute or two.
  6. Serve: Garnish with fresh parsley if desired and serve hot.
