Caramelized Berry Rolls

These mixed berry rolls are mild and sweet enough to where they could be a dessert, snack or side for a lunch or dinner.  We loved the buttery, flaky caramel crescent roll, paired with these seasonal berries we are seeing all over the place!  You won’t want to stop at eating just one..

Ingredients:

1 can crescent rolls
1/2 cup cream cheese
1 cup blueberries
1 cup raspberries
1/2 cup and 3 tbsp brown sugar
3 tbsp chocolate chips
3 tbsp caramel syrup
angel food cake, diced in tiny squares

Directions:

In small saucepan over high heat, add blueberries, raspberries and brown sugar. Once it comes to a rolling boil and thickened, add cream cheese. Remove from heat. Roll chilled crescent roll dough out slightly, making sure to keep dough intact. Spoon berry mixture on top of angel food cake. Place a few pieces of angel food cake into center of crescent roll. Place 3 tsp brown sugar and chocolate chips on top of fillings. Roll carefully but tightly to cover any opened seams. Bake at 350F for 15minutes, watching closely at the end to be sure they are a light golden brown. Enjoy!
